No, really . That's what they are calling the new food festival that will be gracing us at Disney California Adventure. And a touch of Disney it will be.
The park will be open for guests to wander their favorite parts of Pacific Wharf, Cars Land, Grizzly Peak, Pixar Pier, and of course, Buena Vista Street. (Avengers Campus will not be a part of this event.) There will not be attractions at this time but there will be all your favorite classic Disney foods, from Dole Whips to Monte Cristo Sandwiches, as well as new items like Carrot Cake Funnel Cake Fries. There is going to be SIX festival booths along the parade route as well as quick service options at the following:
Smokejumpers Grill
Award Weiners
Cocina Cucamonga
Sonoma Terrace
Carthay Circle restaurant and Lamplight Lounge will be offering alfresco seated dining - by reservation only. Reservations open March 11th. Festival booths will feature items such as the Very Very Berry Mickey Waffle and craft beers and mimosas. There will be food truck favorites and other snack-sixed bites to grab and go! (I don't want to get ahead of myself, but perhaps snacking on the move??)
THERE WILL BE CHARACTER GREETINGS!!!! Of course it will be socially distanced but photo locations will be set up throughout the park with Pixar Play Parade Floats. Expect to see Mickey and Minnie, as well as Mater, Lightning McQueen, Joy and Sadness.
A Touch of Disney will be running from Thursdays through Mondays, from noon to 8 p.m., starting March 18th and ending April 5th, with additional dates to be added on a rolling basis. The price for your little slice of magic will be $75 (for guests ages 3 and over) but for that fee you get the following:
parking in the Mickey & Friends structure
unlimited PhotoPass downloads
a $25 dining cared for food and non-alcoholic beverages
Parking in the structure will be opening at 11:30 a.m. You will be walking from the parking structure to the gated entrance. Buena Vista Street will remain open as an extension of Downtown Disney until March 14th, at which time it will be prepared to be a part of this special ticketed event. Tickets for this treasured event go on sale on March 4th and will not be available at the gates. Facial coverings (for guests ages 2 and over) and social distancing will be expected, as well as temperature screenings and reduced capacity in Downtown Disney.
This event is bringing back more than 700 Disney Cast Members in addition to the 230 Cast Members that came on during the November reopening of Buena Vista Street. There is still no update on park or hotel reopening. Downtown Disney is currently having seated dining.
As always, keep checking in for the latest in Disneyland news.
