BREAKING NEWS: "Blueprint Refresh"

According to a change in the guidelines of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy put into place by the administration of California State Governor Newsom, amusement parks have been given a thumbs up. This is what we have been waiting for, people! This is not a drill!! Amusement parks statewide, regardless of size, have been given more lax guidelines for reopening.

  1. Parks are allowed to open when their county has reached the red (substantial) tier, meaning they could reopen by April 1st!

  2. Once the county reaches the red tier, they will be able to reopen at 15% capacity. Each successive tier improves those capacity rates. Orange tier will allow for a 25% capacity level. Yellow will allow for a 35% capacity level.

  3. Only California residents can attend the parks in our state. No restrictions so far on area.

  4. While most of the theme parks in the state of California remain in the purple tier, both the counties of Orange and Los Angeles are expected to move into the red tier next week. Orange County is the home of Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, while Los Angeles is the home of Universal Studios Hollywood and Six Flag Magic Mountain.

Of course the restriction on capacity is going to suck, and anyone who doesn't call California their home, I'm sorry. But this is terrific news for us in Southern California. We are extremely excited to bring this news to you and hopefully more and better news is on the way.

For those of you with tickets, see you at A Touch of Disney! We will be there April 11th. As always, stay tuned for more news on Disneyland and its reopening!
