In what feels to be a step in the backward direction, Disneyland is officially sunsetting their Disney Annual Passport program. In these uncertain times, Disneyland does not know when they will be able to reopen their gates and they are issuing prorated refunds for all prepaid passholders. Dis Dylan’s has begun the process already, working “as diligently and quickly as possible.” Disneyland plans to launch a website (Disneyland.com/PassportRefund) that will allow passholders to calculate their refunds. The member services phone lines are jammed with upset and curious passholders so the website will likely be a better resource. BlogMickey has more information on the refunds and what can be expected. With that being said, they have said that all Passholders that were active on the day the Gates closed will still have access to their discounts until further notice.
They also have announced when the parks have reopened, they will be rolling out a brand new membership program that will be taking the place of the Annual Passport program. Disneyland President Ken Potrock is excited about the opportunity to make the membership program better and more efficient for future guests.
