Is Disneyland going to take all of my money?

Perhaps, but weren't you gonna spend it there anyway?

Disneyland released ticket pricing and ticket availability on their website this morning. The single day tickets are going to continue to model a five-tier system like that put in place in February 2020. The multiday tickets are not effected by this tier system.

Single Day Tickets Park Hopper Tickets

Adult Child Adult Child

Tier 1 $104 $98 $159 $153

Tier 2 $114 $108 $169 $163

Tier 3 $124 $117 $179 $172

Tier 4 $139 $132 $194 $187

Tier 5 $154 $146 $209 $201

So what do these tiers mean? Basically the higher the tier, the less blackout days you have. For example, if you pay for a tier 5 tickets, you can choose any day of the year. Currently there is only availability listed for the months of May and June but as of now, the availability looks like this:

  • Tier 1: nothing available in May or June

  • Tier 2: the third and fourth Tuesdays and Wednesdays of May, the first Tuesday and Wednesday of June

  • Tier 3: the third and fourth Monday through Thursday of May(May 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27), the first Tuesday through Thursday of June(June 1, 2, 3) and the remaining Tuesdays and Wednesdays of June(June 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30)

  • Tier 4: the third and fourth Monday through Friday in May(May 17-21, 24-28), and Monday through Thursday in June(all weekdays, excluding Fridays the 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th; no weekends)

  • Tier 5: All days are available.

So the big bucks tier 5 tickets will get you a reservation in the park any day of the year. Tier 1 tickets will probably not have any salt until the kids go back to school in August/September. As I mentioned before the multiday tickets are not affected by the tiering system:

One Park Per Day Park Hopper

Adult Child Adult Child

Two Day $235 $220 $290 $201

Three Day $310 $290 $365 $345

Four Day $340 $320 $395 $375

Five Day $360 $340 $415 $395

I know you are all as excited as I am about the idea of being able to park hop!! This is wonderful news!! Here is the caveat: When you go to reserve your day(s), you will be asked which park you want to begin your day in. After you have entered the park you chose, you will be able to park hop that same day after 1:00pm(1300) the same day. Keep an eye on the hours schedule as things are subject to change.

There will not be FASTPASS or Disney MaxPass at this time. Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours will be suspended until further notice. To accommodate social distancing, there will not be Parades or Fireworks, Character Greetings, Magical Makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, or Single Rider Queues. Characters will be roaming the grounds for surprise sightings so keep a watchful eye!

Another thing to note about ticket sales is that sales and reservations will not open before 8am Pacific Time, on their respective days. Reservations for select days will be made available on a rolling basis. No more than one theme park reservation per Guest, per day. A reservation must be made for each day of entry, even with a multiday ticket. No reservation is guaranteed until it is finalized so make that reservation as soon as you purchase that ticket. At this time, only California residents will be allowed to visit the park and only if the party size is confined to no more than three households, in line with current state standards. Proof of residency is required.

As always, thanks for tuning in and we'll see you in the parks!
