Orange County Register has reported that the director of the Orange County Health Care Agency as well as the Medical Director of the agency's CDC Division took at tour of the resort's parks to be able to make helpful recommendations to their health and safety practices. Clayton Chau, the OC Health Care Agency Director, has offered a couple of suggestions, and is advocating for the county to move into Tier 3 of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The county needs Disneyland to reopen, as the county is currently experiencing a $100 million shortfall in the budget.
Some of the suggestions Chau and the Medical Director, Matthew Zahn, made the following suggestions to Disneyland operators:
Add Spanish health and safety signs
Add ground markers around the restrooms to help guide traffic
Add hand sanitizing stations at the entrance and exit to the attractions
Chau and Zahn have also been working closely with Knott's Berry Farm operators and helped them to organize several food festivals, without operating attractions, to safely allow the park to bring in a small amount of revenue.
