Today, Governor Gavin Newsom stated that the California Health and Human Services secretary, Mark Ghaley, will be announcing amusement parks reopening guidelines in a presentation and update on the tiered status tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20th. However, there has been a serious distinction drawn between level of amusement parks.

Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood are not expecting to get their reopening guidelines. Last week, Newsom had announced that he believed that the administration would announce guidelines for larger parks and smaller parks on separate occasions. Given the nature of the beast, Disneyland and Universal stand to be some of the most busy amusement parks and gather the largest crowds in various areas of the respective parks. With the cooler weather coming, and the possib holiday visiting, the governor is concerned about whether this will effect the battle against the pandemic.

We wait in anticipation, hopefully the guidelines will include our larger parks. As always, keep checking in as we continue to follow these important development!
