What You Need to Know: Disneyland Updates!

Now that we know Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure are opening on April 30th, and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel is opening on April 29th, the details are coming into place.


Disney Parks reservation system is about to go online!! For people who already hold tickets, we can check the calendar to see what days are available, for 1 day tickets, starting April 9th. See Disneyland.com/ParksUpdates


The theme park reservation system will be available to ticket holders on April 12th at 8am to reserve your spot. You must have a valid admission to make a reservation!


Ticket sales will resume on April 15th at 8am! Tickets are only available to California residents, in groups of no larger than 3 households, at this time. There is talks of reversing the "California residents" restriction sometime in June. Once you have your tickets purchased, you can head to the reservation system and select your day!!

What about food?? Select dining locations will be April 22nd, with limited capacity, so make those reservations! You can make a reservation up to 60 days in advance.

Dining returning to Disneyland include: Bengal Barbacue, Cafe Orleans, French Market Restaurant, Galactic Grill, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Little Red Wagon, Market House, Milk Stand, Mint Julep Bar, Plaza Inn(with modified service and menu), Red Rose Taverne, River Belle Terrace, Ronto Roasters, Ship to Shore Marketplace, Stage Door Cafe, The Tropical Hideaway, and of course, the food carts.


And attractions? Disney announced that over 45 of its 80+ rides and attractions will be open when the park reopens!!

After extensive renovation, Snow White's Enchanted Wish was the first announced. Other Fantasyland options include: Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Tea Party, Casey Jr. Circus Train and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Peter Pan's Flight, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, King Arthur's Carrousel and It's A Small World.

Other rides that are confirmed to be returning include: Astro Orbiter, Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain, Disneyland Railroad, Gadget's Go Coaster, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones Adventure, Main Street Vehicles, Mark Twain Riverboat, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Pirates of the Caribbean, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Star Tours, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Tarzan's Treehouse, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and The Enchanted Tiki Room. Plus there will be surprise character sightings!

Ride confirmed to be closed upon reopening include: Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, Chip 'n Dale Treehouse, Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes, Disneyland Monorail, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Frontierland Shootin' Exposition, Jungle Cruise, Main Street Cinema, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island, Sailing Ship Columbia, Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, and the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Also the character greeting locations will remain closed at this time: Donald's Boat, Goofy's Playhouse, Mickey's House, Minnie's House, and the Star Wars Launch Bay.


Who loves SHOPPPINGGG?? There will of course be shops returning with the parks!

Shops confirmed to be returning include: Adventureland Bazaar, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique(merchandise only), Black Spire Outfitters, Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen, Creature Stall, Cristal d'Orleans, Crystal Arts, Disney Clothiers, Disney Showcase, Disneyana, Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities, Droid Depot, Emporium, First Order Cargo, It's a Small World Toy Shop, Kaman's Art Shoppe, Le Mascarade d'Orleans, Little Green Men Store Command, The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland, Main Street Magic Shop, Pieces of Eight, Pioneer Mercantile, Savi's Workshop(can you say lightsabers???), The Star Trader, Toydarian Toymaker, as well as carts with balloons, and glow toys.



And you can't forget about Disney's California Adventure!!

Attractions returning to DCA include: Games of Pixar Pier, Goofy's Sky School, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout, Incredicoaster, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Jessie's Critter Carousel, Jumpin' Jellyfish, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Mickey's Philharmagic, Monster's Inc Mike & Sully to the Rescue, Pixar Pal-A-Round, Radiator Springs Racers, Silly Symphony Swings, Soarin' Around the World, The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania and Turtle Talk with Crush.

Attractions remaining closed at this time include: Animation Academy, Bakery Tour, Blue Sky Cellar, Disney Junior Live on Stage, Golden Zephyr, Grizzly River Run, Red Car Trolley, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and the Sorcerer's Workshop.


Dining options that will be reopening include: Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, Angry Dogs, Award Weiners, Carathay Circle Lounge - Alfresco Dining, Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, Cozy Cone Motel - Cones 1-3, Cappuccino Cart, Fiddler Fifer & Practical Cafe, Flo's V8 Cafe, Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, Hollywood Lounge, Lamplight Lounge, Pacific Wharf Distribution Co., Poultry Palace, Rita's Bajas Blenders, Senor Buzz Churros, Smokejumpers Grill, Sonoma Terrace, Studio Catering Co., and of course, the food carts.


Shopping options that will be reopening include: Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff, Collector's Warehouse, Disneyland Backlot Premiere Shop, Elias & Co., Kaman's Art Shoppe, Kingswell Camera Shop, Knick's Knacks, Off the Page, Paradise Pier Sunglass Cart, Ramone's House of Body Art, Rushin' River Outfitters, Seaside Souvenirs, Studio Store, Trolley Treats, and of course balloon and glow carts.



Looking to stay at the Grand Californian?

Reservations to check-in to the magic start April 15th for stays starting April 29th. Check-in online to promote social distancing, stop by the front desk for your room key, and download the Disneyland app. The Disneyland app will help guide you in mobile ordering and contactless payments, check park hours, view maps and so much more! The morning of checkout, you will be automatically checked out for your convenience; there's no need to visit the front desk. REMINDER: you still need valid theme park admission, and a reservation to get into the park. Hotel reservation does not guarantee park admission!
